Hey everyone! After using Eatventure and introducing it to others for about 2 months, I noticed something interesting – how different people with varied backgrounds and at different stages of life use the app! Just goes to show how Eatventure caters to different needs and build our heartwarming little community :)

Adult colleagues

For my colleagues who have been working here for two years and works from office Mon-Fri, finding a place to have lunch everyday can be quite tiring. Given that they have also already visited many places, having an app to track their review of each place, remember the good ones AND bad ones, and have reliable recommendations from other users is really convenient. This helps to not only filter out the best places to have lunch everyday, but implicitly add a layer of excitement to lunch time as we anticipate the performance of a new restaurant. Just today, we had lunch at a new restaurant in the area but unfortunately, was met with expensive prices and subpar service, to which XM said she will vent her frustration by giving them a poor rating on Eatventure, and avoid coming back again.

Hey guys! As a new intern with the team, I was introduced to our app Eatventure at the start of this month, and I wanted to share my experience on this exciting app after using it (almost daily) for 3 weeks.

Why I Love It

Eatventure was created as the team identified a gap in the market for recommending good foods in Singapore, a country known for its foodie scene. We have new cafés and restaurants opening up frequently, so it can really get quite overwhelming in choosing a place to eat, and we end up sticking to the usual haunts. I think my fellow office ladies feel this when we agonise over lunch options 🥲 Otherwise, I find myself afraid to try new places incase they end up as yet another gimmick or merely instagrammable place with subpar foods 😑

What does EasySplit do?

EasySplit is a mobile app designed to help users effortlessly split bills from a receipt image. It utilizes AI for image detection to capture dish prices, additional charges such as GST and service charges, and any discounts. It can handle cases where individuals order different dishes while also sharing some dishes. EasySplit calculates additional charges proportionally, addressing a common pain point in bill splitting. All you need to do is provide the receipt image and specify who had which dishes—no need to worry about the calculations!

最近，小日子在设计中做了些减法，让产品看上去更轻盈通透，让核心功能更聚焦凸显。你可以看看我们的具体做法，以及调整前后的变化，欢迎给我们提出建议。

1. 减掉色彩和线条对内容的切割

融合标题栏，日历，日期栏，让屏幕只有上下两个区。视野更干净开阔，一眼聚焦当天的日程，减轻了了层层阅读的冗余压力。

更简洁也更轻量化的配图，让真正实际的功能一眼可见。

如果你忙于工作也热爱生活，那我推荐一款我们为自己做的小应用——小日子（英文名叫 EasyDay）。

我们给自己的画像是：忙于工作，热爱生活。常见的日程、Todo 产品注重工作，提升效率，我们则希望能给忙碌的生活点缀些乐趣，因此花了些心思，在产品埋了不少小细节。举几个例子。

如果忙于工作，你应该在使用日历 App。

日历

小日子与系统的日历 App 比如苹果日历兼容——不用任何设置就能直接使用。
原来的日历，可以在小日子里看见、提醒。
小日子里创建的日历，保存在系统日历里——万一你不喜欢小日子，随时可以无痛切换回去。

如果热爱生活，希望忙中有乐。

生日、聚餐、运动等事件，可以看到更轻松愉快的小图标。
默认四周视图，点选后看当天日程，不至于有过大压力。
约饭、约球，可以用小日子，生成好看的海报。

在为小日子/EasyDay 琢磨推荐语时，Yangzi 贡献了一句大家觉得惊艳的：在打怪和打工之间，不如也来打卡。在功课和功夫之外，不妨就攒功德。

于是我们访谈了 Yangzi。

小日子/EasyDay：能看看你的习惯吗？你为什么想养成这些习惯？

Yangzi：其实都是些细小的事情，就是觉得，做到了，会更美好一些。就比如“放下执念，心平气和” 😃

小日子/EasyDay：你觉得小日子真的能带来一些习惯的改变吗？

Yangzi：打卡能带来一定的成就感，毕竟我立了 Flag，而且做到了。这个打卡成就图，看着就有点得意呀。

习惯数据汇总

有些通知提醒，能帮我记住这些我每天想做的事，算是个助力。

以及，有些事，就算还没办法完全做到，但是想到了，写下来了，放进来了，也是植入了一个想法。种下了一颗种子，好事总会发生。

这些细小的变化，确实让我可以更轻松地养成小习惯。

小日子/EasyDay：你有什么建议给小日子的设计者、开发者？

Yangzi：还真有，我提两个。

第一个是：给我带来的满足感还不够。每天我打过卡后，是一个很满足，很期待正反馈的时刻。毕竟我真的做到了，但现在的设计，没有让我很愉悦。我希望猫咪每天都在表扬我。每天收到“你好棒啊”的夸奖，就是会很开心呀。

第二个是：习惯的顺序，以后是不是可以调整？毕竟最早加的，其实才是我最在意的，但现在跑到最下边了。

开启“小日子EasyDay”这个公众号的第一篇推送，先回答几个问题。

小日子是什么？

小日子（EasyDay）是个有趣好玩的日历 App，让我们在忙碌小日子里找到乐趣。它具备日历、任务管理、习惯养成、纪念日功能（四合一，一个就够了）。我们期待，简单的操作，有趣的互动，能让人在工作之余，会心一笑。

为什么做这个小工具？

我们自己用得上。

我们希望有一个让自己更加轻松、愉悦的日程 App，让我们无论多忙，都能感受生活的乐趣，而市面上的日历产品，都是为工作而生，永远严肃认真、一丝不苟。

我们感觉有点乏味，所以决定自己做一个。

生活有点忙，希望大家能多一点乐趣。

小日子有什么不一样？

我想，先通过几个细节来表达我们的想法。

比如：不在服务器上保存日程（是的，无论是 iOS、安卓还是 Mac，日程都是保存在系统日历）。

因为，隐私很重要。团队里有几位从事过信息安全工作的同事，因此更加在意安全和隐私。权限？能不要，就不要。数据？能不存就不存。

在这个被做过无数遍的界面，我们尝试了：

无事，或者有假日，有些视觉上的小变化（比如上图的那只胖猫）。

四周视图，有些日子上有小图标，让人有些小小的期待（生日？纪念日？朋友聚会？）
